Since 1988 Progressive Music has provided music lessons for kids, teens and adults in a fun, yet progressive style that allows students to learn using their own personal learning style. We use a flexible teaching style and encourage our teachers to have different methods of teaching skills or concepts as we recognize people have different styles of learning. We also have an annual Year End Rock Concert, which is a highlight for all the students! It is always performed in the key of "B Loud" and we have had up to 250 people attend! After fifteen years of teaching private music lessons Progressive Music received many requests and inquiries, asking if we had any day camps or summer camps. After starting with very successful, one day music camps, we have now grown and offer camps for the entire summer. We partner with the Kitchener YMCA for 3 weeks where we provide, camps at RIM Park and The Ark Kaufman YMCA. The other five weeks are held here in Cambridge at St.Paul’s Church at 63 Grand Ave North. With the music camps success we started offering our now popular "Anyone Can Draw Comics and Super Heroes" art camp where we did indeed prove most anyone can learn to draw! Starting in 2010, we introduced our newest camp "Video Game Design and Programming". With the growing interest in the video gaming world , we are now offering lessons and camps for “An Introduction Into Video Game Design and Programming” (at very affordable rates). |
